2024 Minnesota School Bus Safety Poster Contest

The 2023-24 National School Bus Safety Week Poster Contest theme: Driving Safely Into the Future.

This is a design contest held each year to encourage students to think about all elements of school bus safety. It presents opportunities to discuss pupil transportation safety themes while working on posters.

In 2023, we had 49 entries from three school districts: Anoka-Hennepin Public School District, Osseo Public School District, and Fridley Public Schools. We had 186 people vote this year which is the highest we have seen. Voting is done electronically with a link. Thank you to all that voted!

The posters are voted on and then divided into divisions. Each participating state may submit one winning poster in each of the following categories:

Division #1 - Grades K-2; Division #2 - Grades 3-5; Division #3 - Grade 6-8; Division #4 - Special Education (Grades K- 12); *Division #5 - CAD (Computer Drawing); *Division #6 - International entries. Our Minnesota contest we accept entries from K-12. The national contest is only K-8. We do have a 9th grade student entry. Molly Siedschlag 9th Grade from Coon Rapids High School, Anoka Hennepin School District.

Prizes:

  • Grade level 1st Place receive a $25 Gift card for Barnes and Nobles
  • Division winners receive a $50 Gift card for Barnes and Nobles
  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners were invited to bring a guest to the Aug 20th, 2023 St Paul Saints Game.
